All notes played on the 3rd string will be plucked with an upward stroke of your index finger.
All notes played on the 2nd string will be plucked with an upward stroke of your middle finger.
All notes played on the 1st string will be plucked with an upward stroke of your ring finger.
When you press a string with a finger of your left hand, that finger should not touch another string, as then that string will not sound correctly if plucked.
Remember what you learned in a previous lesson about the way your right hand fingers will pluck strings, and the necesary strength to press strings with your left hand so you get a clean sound.
